I am sorry but I don't use tampons. But my mom says that there is no such thing as putting it in too far.

well im guessing thats your hymen, it covers the opening to your vagina, and is broken when you lose your virginity, or through using tampons, or even through vigourous sport etc. dont worry about it at all. Its normal, your supposed to put tampons in as far as you can so they go past all the muscle, so they dont come out and so you dont leak, theres no such thing as putting them in too far or wrong, well if it doesnt feel comfortable to you then its maybe not in far enough or something lol x

But if that was it wouldn't it just be there once and not keep coming back?

try using applicators. they push it in as far as it should be.
